Michigan football vs. Texas: Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 2
Michigan football has gotten used to playing in "big games" over the past three seasons. The Wolverines have another on Saturday as Texas comes calling.
The Longhorns won the Big 12 last season. They are now part of the SEC but they were a playoff team last season and boast one of the best quarterbacks in college football in Quinn Ewers.
Michigan football fans are nervous after a 30-10 season-opening win over Fresno State. Davis Warren got the start for Michigan and played most of the game. He completed 15-of-25 passes for 118 yards and one touchdown, plus one interception.
Warren was pedestrian. He'll have to play better on Saturday. So will the offensive line. Texas dominated Colorado State in Week 1 and here's a look at the odds, over/under, how to watch, and a prediction for Michigan football vs. Texas.
Michigan football vs Texas odds
Texas is a heavy favorite for this one. The Horns are a 7.5-point favorite so when you add in the three points a team gets for being at home, Vegas views the Horns as 10 points better. DraftKings also has the over/under at 44. The money line is +230 for Michigan football and -285 for Texas.

Michigan football vs. Texas prediction
The line has moved in the direction of Texas after Week 1. Michigan football wasn't impressive and the score against Fresno State didn't indicate how close the game was.
If Will Johnson doesn't intercept that pass and return it for a touchdown, Fresno State could have cut the lead down to six points. Michigan responded with a touchdown drive when it was in that situation earlier, but still.
That being said, Fresno State won nine games last season. They routinely beat Power-4 programs, so it wasn't like this was a cakewalk.
I also feel like the coaching staff held some things back. We'll probably see more Alex Orji and the offensive line will play better.
I'm not ready to throw out a score prediction yet, but I do feel like Michigan football will cover the spread. Texas might win the game, but they won't win by more than a touchdown against a defense that they won't be used to seeing. This isn't the Big 12 anymore.
Prediction: Michigan covers +7.5
