Another top target for Michigan football in 2025 sets decision date
The recruiting momentum for Michigan football should continue into August. We know that four-star wideout Andrew Marsh is announcing his commitment at the end of the month, and now, another top target of the Wolverines, Jayden Sanders, will announce August 10th.
This is according to a report from Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider. Sanders, who is ranked No. 318 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, is out of Kilgore, Texas.
Sanders also made an official visit for the Michigan football recruiting BBQ. It was his first visit to campus but soon after, it appears that the Wolverines have all the momentum. Sanders was trending with crystal ball projections before his visit to Ann Arbor.
Michigan football should have another commitment soon
But after that visit went well and Sanders has a decision date locked in, Michigan football fans should feel good about where the Wolverines stand. Oklahoma State and Baylor are the other contenders named by Sanders in his top three, but it's hard to see either school knocking off Michigan in this recruitment, especially with such little time.
We are now in a recruiting dead period too. So Michigan football hosted Sanders for the final visit before he makes a decision. Sometimes that means nothing. But it feels important in this recuritment and if the Wolverines land Sanders, he would be the first true cornerback in the 2025 class.
Ivan Taylor is a safety who can also play cornerback but Sanders is just a corner and would be the third defensive back commitment in the 2025 class and the 12th-blue chip total for the Wolverines.
