Andrew Marsh decision date is good news for Michigan football

Michigan football could be in line for another big win on the recruiting trail as a top-100 wide receiver has set a decision date.

Decision timelines are always important in recruiting and often, the timing of a decision tells you all you need to know. And that's how I feel when to comes to Michigan football recruiting target Andrew Marsh.

Marsh, a four-star wideout out of Katy, Texas who is ranked 58th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, just visited Michigan football this past weekend. It was the third time he visited Ann Arbor in the past two months.

You can always follow the visits too and since Marsh hasn't visited anywhere else since his last two trips to Michigan football, the Wolverines are in good shape. All of the crystal balls from 247 Sports are favoring the Wolverines and an August 28th decision date, which is according to a new report from Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider, is also beneficial.

The On3 prediction machine gives Michigan football an 87-percent chance of landing Marsh's commitment. If U-M does get Marsh, it might be the best recruit they have landed at wide receiver since Donovan Peoples-Jones or Nico Collins.

Roman Wilson was spectacular but he was ranked much lower. Marsh would show that elite receivers can come to Michigan. Brady Hart was on campus, the 2026 quarterback commitment for U-M. The Wolverines also have Carter Smith in the 2025 class.

That can help the Wolverines recruit players like Marsh and since no other program has hosted him for a visit since mid-June, it feels like Michigan's time to close.
