Michigan football has been very active recruiting the DMV over the past few cycles and it looks like that will continue in 2025, at least according to a new crystal ball projection.

The Wolverines are just a few days away from Early National Signing Day and they were also projected to land a blue-chip pass rusher in the 2024 class this week.

However, looking ahead to the 2025 class, Michigan football is now trending for the commitment of three-star cornerback Jahmari DeLoatch out of Virginia.

Out of Chesapeake, the 5-foot-10, 160-pound corner was first projected to Michgan football with a crystal ball by Steve Lorenz of The Michigan Insider. This time, it's Kolby Crawford, an insider for Virginia Tech, which is important since he would know the region well.

While DeLoatch is listed as a three-star prospect according to the 247 Sports composite rankings (No. 464 overall, No. 53 CB), he's ranked No. 202 in the 247 Sports specific rankings.

Virginia, Duke, Wake Forest, and some of those ACC-type teams are in the mix. Yet, DeLoatch ran sub-100 times in the 100-meter dash as a sophomore, so there's plenty of reason to be excited about his potential, especially under the guidance of Steve Clinkscale.

Chris Ewers is one of Michigan football's 2024 commitments and is another cornerback. He's ranked 86th overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings. The addition of DeLoatch would give the Wolverines two talented defensive backs in the 2025 class.

Jeremiah Beasley joins Michigan football for Rose Bowl practices

One recruit who's part of the 2024 class has already joined Michigan football. That's Jeremiah Beasley, who is among the early enrollees for the 2024 cycle. The four-star linebacker out of West Bloomfield has joined the Wolverines for Rose Bowl preparation.

It's one of the benefits of playing in a bowl game, so that's one name that there shouldn't any worry about on signing day -- not that there are any to be worried about, at least none committed to Michigan football currently.
