A huge crystal ball for Michigan football to land top-100 wideout
Michigan football has already landed four top-100 commitments in the 2025 recruiting class and signs are pointing toward a fifth.
The fifth could be four-star wide receiver Andrew Marsh. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound wide receiver from Katy, Texas has visited Michigan football three times since June. He also released a top five on Wednesday that included the Wolverines, as well as Washington, USC, Colorado, and Texas.
That top five sets up very well for the Wolverines. Texas feels like the biggest threat because that's the in-state team. But the Horns are in on some other elite receivers too, so that could have an impact on things and Marsh hasn't visited them recently.
Kentucky and Washington were mentioned as other contenders in July, but Michigan football hosted Marsh for the recruiting BBQ. The blue-chip then announced he was moving up his commitment date and on Wednesday, said his commitment will be public on August 20th.
More momentum for Michigan football with Andrew Marsh
With all that in mind, Michigan is still trending as the heavy favorite. The Wolverines have a 90-percent chance to land Marsh according to the On3 prediction machine. All three crystal ball projections are also in favor of the Wolverines and one of those was just placed on Wednesday by Mike Roach, a long-time Texas insider for 247 Sports.
Roach knows Texas recruiting as well as anyone. So if he logs a crystal ball prediction, it carries some weight. The Michigan team reporters all view the Wolverines as the favorite. Steve Wiltfong of On3.com has projected Marsh to U-M as well.
But seeing Roach crystal ball Marsh to the Wolverines really makes feel good about where Michigan stands going into the announcement in two weeks.
