5-star Andrew Babalola calls Michigan football an 'OL Factory' but can it land him?

Michigan football is still in the mix to land five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola and here's the latest on the recruitment of the elite 2025 recruit.

The 290-yard rushing performance on Saturday for Michigan football leading to a 27-24 win over USC might not have impressed offensive skill position players outside of running backs, but offensive line recruits had to love the way the Wolverines pounded the rock.

Alex Orji only threw for 32 yards and it was clear he wasn't much of a threat passing. So the game was put in the hands of the Michigan football offensive line and the running backs and they delivered.

It was the best performance so far this season from the offensive line as running backs averaged three yards before being contacted -- by far the best number of the season.

Michigan football didn't play a perfect on the offensive line, but it was close enough and offensive line recruits had to love it which is relevant as the Wolverines have been trying to close out the commitment of five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola.

Where Michigan football stands with 5-star Andrew Babalola

The 6-foot-6, 280-pound offensive tackle is out of Kansas -- the same state as Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore. Babalola is also ranked 24th overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

In August, Babalola said that he was going to decide around the start of the high school regular season and then had a date in mind a few weeks ago. However, that has come and gone.

Michigan football, Stanford, Auburn, Oklahoma, and Missouri are still the finalists and he told 247 Sports this week that a commitment will come by the end of the regular season. He also called Michigan football an "OL factory."

I don't know if that means a commitment is coming for the Wolverines -- it feels more like Auburn is the leader -- but there is time for Michigan to make it move, so don't count them out just yet.
