There was a shift in the recruitment of Brady Hart on Monday and by the end of the day, it felt like he was a Michigan football commitment.

On Tuesday, Hart, a 6-foot-4, 180-pound quarterback from Cocoa, Florida, announced his public commitment to the Wolverines, one day after getting an offer from Ohio State.

Clemson was trending as the favorite going into the weekend, but Kirk Campbell, the quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator for Michigan football, helped turn the tide. I'm sure Sherrone Moore played a role too.

Hart is ranked 92nd overall in the 2026 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He's also ranked seventh among quarterbacks. This is the third top-100 commitment in the past two months under Sherrone Moore and that's after just one in the 2023 and 2024 classes combined.

This is a big win for Michigan football recruiting and here are three thoughts.
