Michigan football projected to land perfect QB in 2026
When Notre Dame took quarterback Noah Grubbs a few weeks ago, it seemed to set the stage perfectly for Michigan football with four-star Brady Hart.
Notre Dame was the favorite for Hart and the two programs attract similar players -- players who want to play college football at the highest level but also value academics.
Hart is the perfect guy for Michigan football. He's 6-foot-4, 190 pounds and a pro-style passer. He's also the got the name combined of two Michigan greats -- Tom Brady and Mike Hart.
After he visited Clemson, the Tigers emerged with a couple of expert projections and a crystal ball. They felt like the favorite but after a multi-day visit by Hart to Ann Arbor this past weekend, Michigan football is the heavy favorite and it seems like there might already be a silent commitment.
Michigan football is the favorite to Brady Hart
Every recruiting expert worth their salt has put in a projection in the past few hours. Tom Loy of 247 Sports, changed his pick from Clemson to Michigan football. Three other U-M experts from The Michigan Insider followed suit. So did EJ Holland of The Wolverine and Josh Henschke of Rivals, along with Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong of On3.com.
Michigan football quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell posted #GoBlue on X, which makes you feel like Hart gave a commitment to the staff. That might be optimistic but that's the only explanation for the the incredible trend of Michigan projections.
All of this happened on the same day Ohio State extended an offer. Hart who is a 2026 quarterback could be on board soon and if Michigan does land the seventh-ranked quarterback in 2026 who is also ranked 92nd overall, it will be the biggest recruiting win of Sherrone Moore's young tenure as Michigan football head coach.
