3 things we need to see from Michigan football against Arkansas State

Through all the grief the defending champions have withstood in the first two weeks, a resounding win is number one on this week's list of things to achieve.

3. A wide receiver breakout performance

This would be very welcoming. Through two games Michigan's leading receiver, not counting tight ends, is Semaj Morgan. Getting the ball to him or another receiver for double-digit receptions would cure some blues about the position. This is a get right type of game for Michigan's offense if they can handle their business.

So far it has been a mixed bag for the Red Wolves who didn't give up a 100-yard receiver in Week 1 but did in Week 2. Both quarterbacks were unable to reach the 200-yard plateau and that could happen again this week. With all due respect to Tulsa and Central Arkansas though, they do not have the talent that Michigan does.

I am not including Colston Loveland because everyone and their mother expects him to have another seven or eight-catch game with more yardage and a touchdown or two. Both Central Arkansas and Tulsa were able to run the ball at will on the Arkansas State defense, which is a great sign for Michigan football running backs. So the receivers may have to be a little more patient.
