Michigan football put together one of its best performances on Saturday in a 45-20 win over Maryland.
It was a sight for sore eyes. After three weeks of playing with their food and struggling with weaker opponents, Michigan cruised to an easy win, pulling Bryce Underwood with 12 minutes left.
The result of that is a meeting against Ohio State with a playoff spot on the line, at least according to Ari Wasserman. The AP Poll moved Michigan up three spots. The Wolverines are also still alive for the Big Ten title game, and can advance with a win and an Oregon loss to Washington.
Michigan women's basketball bounces back
After a three-point loss to UConn on Friday, which had everyone in women's college basketball talking about Michigan, the Wolverines followed that up with an 81-55 win over Syracuse on Sunday.
Olivia Olson had 18 points for the second straight game. She added eight rebounds and three assists. Te'Yala Delfosse, a 6-foot-3 sophomore guard, also had a breakout game with 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting. She was 3 of 4 from 3-point range.
Syla Swords had six points, six rebounds, and three assists.
Michigan Wolverines sweep Ohio State in hockey
The Wolverines opened a two-game series against Ohio State with a 5-2 win over Friday thanks to a three-goal third period. T.J. Hughes scored and had two assists in the win. Freshman goalie Jack Ivankovic was stellar with 20 saves in the win. Malcolm Spence, Dakoda Rheaume-Mullen, Josh Eernisse and Luca Fantilli each scored one goal as five different players found the back of the net.
Second-ranked Michigan blasted Ohio State 8-1 on Saturday, giving the Wolverines their 100th win in the rivalry series. Hughes scored twice in the win. 14 different Wolverines scored points and there's a good chance Michigan is ranked No.1 this week.
Michigan volleyball win sixth straight
The Wolverines won their sixth straight volleyball match with a 3-1 win over Oregon on Saturday night in Eugene. Allison Jacobs had 21 kills to pace Michigan. Morgan Burke pitched in with 19 assists and four aces in the 27-25, 18-25, 25-24, and 27-25 win.
Michigan (21-8, 11-7) clinched a winning record in the Big Ten. The Wolverines are expected to make the NCAA tournament and will close the season with matches against UCLA and USC this week in Ann Arbor.
