The Thursday night injury update for the Michigan football team ahead of the Indiana game on Saturday didn't offer any changes from Wednesday's report that listed six starters as questionable.

Andrew Sprague, who opened the season as the starting right tackle but has missed the past four games, will miss another game this week after being ruled out.

Jake Guarnera, the Michigan starting center, might be the biggest name on the injury report listed as questionable because his absence would be huge, in a bad way, for the Wolverines.

Guarnera played last week after being questionable. Blake Frazier did, too. Andrew Babalola is probable again this week. He will be available this week. Brady Norton, who was started most of the season at guard, missed the game last week. Avery Gach started in his place.

Gach did well enough that Michigan football fans probably aren't stressing too much about Norton, outside of the depth he can provide. The running game did finally get going with Gach in the game, so maybe the Wolverines shouldn't mess with a good thing.

Rod Moore, who left the Penn State game after an interception, is also questionable, along with John Henry Daley and Dom Nichols.

Roddy Gayle clears a big hurdle to play for Michigan this season

There was still some question about whether or not Roddy Gayle would be able to join the Michigan basketball team.

After Gayle's legal team amended his TRO to include the NBA Summer League, a judge granted Gayle's request. This includes language stating that the NCAA can't rule him ineligible.

Mike Bonyon confirmed that Gayle would play for Michigan in an exhibition game on Sunday. It sounds like he will be a starter for the Wolverines unless something unexpected happens.

Michigan football national champion shines for Bears

Colston Loveland had his best game of the season with seven receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown. Loveland caught a 22-yard pass in what ended up as season-high for the 2023 Michigan football national champion. He helped the Bears improve to 5-2.
