Michigan basketball head coach Dusty May said his only focus was winning a basketball game and the Michigan Wolverines did just that against his alma mater on Saturday in Bloomington.
It was closer than it should have been considering the 17-point first-half lead. However, Michigan basketball held on for the 70-67 win that proved to be the fifth quad-1 win of the season for the Michigan Wolverines.
Yet, what should excite Michigan basketball fans is what May said after the game. He was asked by reporters about any potential interest in the Indiana job. He was a team manager for Bob Knight back in the day, but May shot that down.

"That stuff's crazy. I love being at Michigan, I love our team, we're fighting like crazy. That's it. This place is my foundation, but I'm very very happy at the University of Michigan," said May via Seth Tow on X.
I honestly wasn't that worried and Michigan basketball fans shouldn't be. That being said, Warde Manuel needs to get signed to a contract extension this offseason. May has already exceeded expectations and paying him more is the cost of doing business.
Michigan hockey falls to Michigan State
One day after a dramatic 2-1 upset over the second-ranked Spartans on Friday, Michigan State returned the favor in kind, defeating Michigan hockey 6-1 in the Duel in the D. Still, getting a split against the No. 2 team in the country, a team the Michigan Wolverines have beaten twice, should help the chances of getting an at-large berth for the NCAA tournament if U-M is unable to win the Big Ten title again.
Michigan football alum with aim for 3-peat with Chiefs
Former Michigan football standout Mike Danna has turned into a heck of an NFL player notching 20.5 sacks since getting drafted by Kansas City back in the 2020 NFL draft. This past season, Danna had 3.5 sacks, 41 total tackles, and two forced fumbles.
Danna also played a key role in the Kansas City win over Buffalo in the AFC championship game, coming up with four tackles, a sack, and a key pressure of Josh Allen.
On Sunday, Danna will aim for a third straight Super Bowl win with the Kansas City Chiefs. He had three tackles in the Super Bowl win over the 49ers last season. In the two prior Super Bowls before that, a win over the Eagles and a loss to the Bucs, who had Tom Brady, another Michigan football alum leading the way, Danna had two combined tackles.
