For the second time this week, Michigan football lost a player to the transfer portal, as former three-star wide receiver Amorion Walker has entered for a second time.

The 6-foot-3 wideout who also played some defensive back for the Michigan Wolverines, entered the portal after the 2023 season, only to come back after the spring to be the Michigan football roster for the 2024 season.

Walker did have three receptions for 34 yards last season but wasn't able to carve out of a role with the Michigan football program. We'll see what kind of interest he garners this spring, but with some youngsters emerging this spring at wide receiver, this makes sense for both sides.

Michigan Wolverines women's basketball adds two players on Thursday

On Thursday, the Michigan women's basketball team got involved with the transfer portal, landing two players. One of them is Kendall Dudley, a former five-star recruit who played in 37 games for UCLA as a true freshman last season. She only averaged 1.9 points per game, however, the 6-foot-2 forward/wing should have a chance for a much bigger role with the Michigan Wolverines.

She'll join a team with three rising sophomores slated to start led by Olivia Olson and Syla Swords. Kim Barnes Arico was busy, though, adding another in 6-foot-3 Bucknell transfer Ashley Sofilkanich, who averaged 19.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.2 blocks last season.

Sofilkanich shot 50 percent from the field last season but only shot 26 percent from 3-point range. She'll add an interior scoring threat along with some rim protecion and rebounding.

Michigan hockey gets good news

T.J. Hughes, who scored 15 goals and dished out 23 assists for the Michigan Wolverines last season, announced that he will return for the 2025-26 season as Michigan will try to get back to the NCAA tournament. The Wolverines missed this past season after three straight trips to the Frozen Four.

The Michigan Wolverines also added a quality transfer in Jayden Perron, who was a third-round draft pick of the Hurricanes back in 2023. He scored 21 for North Dakota the past two seasons.
