Michigan football fans were already excited about the commitment of four-star wide receiver Quentin Burrell, and if they weren't, they should be now.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound wideout out of Chicago (Mount Carmel) is ranked No. 100 overall in the 2027 class via the 247 Sports composite rankings.
That's a solid ranking. He's actually ranked higher than Andrew Marsh and Travis Johnson. Marsh had 651 receiving yards as a true freshman, while Johnson looks poised to make an impact as a freshman -- maybe not exactly like Marsh, but similar.
Burrell, a Michigan commit in the 2027 class, is another, who could have an early impact for the Wolverines, especially after the way he played Friday night.

At one point, Burrell's team was down 30 points. Yet, the blue-chip wideout caught three touchdown passes, including a bomb in the fourth quarter that made the "SportsCenter Top 10" and turned out to be the game-winning touchdown.

ESPN recruiting analyst Billy Tucker, called what Burrell did, "Absurd." He also said "he's a top 10 player in the nation for a reason."
Burrell is ranked a little lower, according to 247 Sports and Rivals. However, if he has more performances like that, there is still time for his ranking to jump in the final 2027 rankings. ESPN has him ranked 37th overall. He is No. 8 among wide receivers.
Those rankings don't really matter in the end. Marsh wasn't a top-100 recruit, but there weren't many freshman wide receivers who were better than he was last season, which is why so many teams tried to get him to enter the transfer portal in the offseason.
What's important is that Michigan is adding another talented 6-foot-3 wideout to a room that should have Andrew Marsh and J.J. Buchanan for at least two more years, meaning the Wolverines could have essentially the same wide receiver room in 2027, with Burrell added.
Bryce Underwood has four years of eligibility left. Tommy Carr has five, and Kamden Lopati is the No. 1 QB in the 2027 class via ESPN, so the QB room and the wide receiver room are stocked well into the future.
