It seems that in the recruitment of three-star linebacker Aden Reeder, the only thing left is to announce his commitment to Michigan football.

Reeder, who was committed to Wisconsin before Monday night, when he posted on social media that he was de-committing from the Badgers. This happened just days after he took a visit to Ann Arbor for the win over Purdue.

Soon after that, as in Sunday, the Wolverines started trending for expert projections from both Rivals and 247 Sports to flip Reeder. Steve Wiltfong of On3.com even put in a flip prediction.

A solid linebacker Michigan football has been missing

Reeder is 6-foot-3, 210 pounds out of Cincinnati, Ohio. He's ranked No. 555 overall in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Last season, he was credited with 72 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and three pass breakups.

The Ohio linebacker committed to the Badgers over the summer. However, with Wisconsin 0-6 in the Big Ten, commitments started to waiver which includes Reeder. He also started getting interest from a number of other programs as Nebraska, Kentucky, Northwestern, and Iowa all offered in the span of two days, which was followed by Michigan's offer October 23.

After his visit for the Purdue game, the Wolverines have momentum. Michigan football is also the perfect fit. The Wolverines have been looking for another linebacker or two for the 2026 class. Reeder, a talented dude from Ohio who wasn't offered by the Buckeyes, is a great fit.

Watching his highlights, Reeder reminds me of Josh Ross. He's got some ability to cover and rush the passer. He's good at taking on blockers and shedding them in traffic. Not the most dynamic athlete in the world but someone who has a chance to develop into a starter down the road, just like Ross did.
