Michigan football had over a dozen official visitors on campus this weekend, including five-star running back Savion Hiter.

Hiter was the headliner for Michigan football. He could be the crown jewel of the Wolverines' 2026 class. However, 12 other blue-chip prospects were on campus, and Michigan football is now trending to land the commitment of two.

Michigan trending for two priority recruits

Andre Clark, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback out of Richmond, Virginia, took an official visit to Michigan this weekend, and soon after, received a crystal ball projection for the Michigan Wolverines from Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider.

Webb probably has the most trusted crystal ball of anyone on the Michigan beat, which includes those using the Rivals Futurecast and On3 RPM. So I would just about take Clark's commitment to the bank. He's ranked No. 177 overall. The defensive back is ranked 12th among safeties, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, but can play cornerback and safety -- maybe even nickel.

Landing a top-200 defensive back would be huge for the Wolverines, but that's not the only recruitment in which they are trending up.

Four-star wide receiver Travis Johnson, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound wideout from Chesapeake, was also on an official visit to Michigan football this weekend. The Wolverines have been near the top of Johnson's recruitment for months.

This weekend felt like a chance to solidify that. It seems Michigan football has done that as Johnson has received crystal ball projections from Webb and also Steve Lorenz of The Michigan Insider, another very reliable Michigan recruiting insider.

Michigan has also been trending up with Zion Robinson, the four-star receiver from Texas. Calvin Russell, a top-50 wide receiver in the 2026 class, also scheduled an official visit for next weekend.

So the Wolverines are building toward a loaded wide receiver class. The 2026 class as a whole, could also be adding two more blue-chip commitments before we know it.
