Michigan is hot on the recruiting trail again, folks. After landing the commitment of McHale Blade, and with another commitment being teased, it appears Michigan may be in a good position to land a third recruit.
ON3's Steve Wiltfong placed a prediction Tuesday afternoon for Michigan to flip Georgia WR commit Brady Marchese. Marchese has been committed to Georgia since March, but just took an official visit to Michigan. The Wolverines have lots of momentum in the recruiting world right now, and Marchese may keep the ball rolling.
It's clear that following the implementation of the house settlement, Michigan has been aggressive on the NIL front. The Wolverines have caught fire on the recruiting trail and have been surging in the recruitments of many top prospects, including Marchese.
Marchese is a dynamic receiver who, at 6'1, reportedly hit a top speed of 22.34 mph in a game last season, per his highlight tape. While he's not the highest-rated recruit, it's very telling that he's taken official visits to Michigan and Georgia, with a visit to Florida planned. This kid is underrated and can be an impact player.
Michigan football could flip SEC commitment soon
It'll be interesting to see if Marchese takes his visit to Florida next weekend, or if he cancels it. Obviously, cancelling it would be a great sign for Michigan. If he's going to flip, I believe it's likely going to be sometime within the next week. In today's recruiting world, things move fast. If Michigan and Marchese come to an agreement on the NIL side, he could flip at any time.
While Michigan is still looking for an elite receiver to pair with QB Bryce Underwood, Marchese would be a very positive addition and would help the Wolverines build even more momentum in their 2026 class. Stay tuned for any updates.
