You can feel the momentum building for Michigan football recruiting. The Wolverines landed four-star EDGE McHale Blade on Monday, and the good news isn't over.
Blade was massive addition in his own right to the Wolverines 2026 class. He's 6-foot-5, 255 pounds out of Chicago and ranked No. 155 overall via the On3 Industry rankings.

Michigan beat out Notre Dame, USC, and others for Blade. Now, the Wolverines appear to have won another recruitment as head coach as Sherrone Moore posted on social media once again with the eyeball emojis.
Moore does that before the Wolverines land a commitment. So we know that one is coming. But who is it?
Who is Michigan football's next commitment?
Alister Vallejo, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound defensive lineman out of Liberty Hill, Texas, is one candidate. He has a commitment announcement scheduled for Tuesday, with Notre Dame and Kansas among the top contenders, along with Michigan.
Vallejo is ranked as a four-star recruit by 247 Sports, however, the 247 Sports composite rankings have him ranked as a three-star prospect at No. 443 overall.
Yet, we also know Michigan football has found a ton of success with the high three-star recruits. Vallejo could be one to watch. He posted 18 sacks during his sophomore and junior seasons, which is an impressive number for a 300-pound interior D-lineman.
There aren't any crystal ball projections. It's murky about who will win out, but Moore's post could be a clue that the Wolverines landed Vallejo.
Another possibility is four-star wideout Zion Robinson, also from Texas. Robinson is a dynamic athlete ranked No. 135 overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings for 2026. He's fresh off his official visit to MIchigan.
TCU seemed like a threat. His father works for the school as the director of track and field. Robinson's dad was also an Olympian. Yet, Robinson canceled his visit to TCU. There are visits scheduled for Miami and Stanford, but the Wolverines might have done enough to win his commitment.
We shall see, but usually when Moore teases a commitment, an announcement comes soon after.
