In the world of NIL deals, the transfer portal, and the absence of a National Letter of Intent, a prospect isn't really settled in a program until, well, the day they graduate from a program or move on to the next level.

That means that even when a player is committed to a team, it by no means is a signal that they will end up playing for that team by the end of the year.

Example A: The Michigan Wolverines are still recruiting three-star wide receiver Jabari Brady, who has been committed to the Missouri Tigers since the beginning of June.

Brady initially committed to the Tigers on June 7, 2024, choosing Mizzou over other powerhouse programs like the Miami Hurricanes, Ohio State Buckeyes, and more, including the Wolverines.

Could Michigan actually flip Jabari Brady?

However, Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore has refused to give up on his pursuit of the young wide receiver, continuing to push for his commitment, especially since Brady has yet to officially shut down his recruitment process.

Now, this wouldn't be a transfer portal pickup for Moore and the Wolverines because Brady hasn't actually enrolled at Missouri. The wideout is in the class of 2026 and still has another season of high school football before he hits the college scene.

All that the Michigan head coach has to do is convince Brady to change his commitment from one UM to another... from the Tigers to the Wolverines. This also means that there is more time for Moore to land his commitment, with decision day falling in the winter of 2026.

Currently, On3 and Rivals (which combined earlier this summer) have Brady leaning toward the Miami Hurricanes as his final decision. However, how can you deny a program that is just a couple of years removed from a National Championship run? Especially when it's the winningest college football program of all time.

Michigan fans will have to wait to see if Brady decides to flip his commitment. Without a decision date to put in their calendars, Wolverines will have to keep their eyes and ears open for any news of a possible flip.
