Kenneth Grant will forever be a favorite of Michigan football fans. Not only did he help the Wolverines win two Big Ten championships and a national title, but he was also vital in the 3-0 record against Ohio State.
Grant declared for the NFL draft after just three seasons with the Michigan Wolverines, after signing with U-M as a three-star recruit out of high school.
The "gift from the football gods," as Jim Harbaugh once called Grant, was selected 13th overall in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft, giving Michigan football fans another reason to cheer.
But in a press conference on Sunday, Grant talked about his time at Michigan football, even revealing there was a run-game package designed for him in the offense.
Grant said there was a package for him to "run the rock," with Michigan, according to Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post.
Obviously, it was never used and Michigan football fans are wishing Grant would have kept that to himself, since they now can't see something so awesome.
I wish I had never seen this. Now I'm sad. https://t.co/c9QQ2EZV9n

Anthony Broome of The Wolverine isn't the only one who is "sad" that Grant never got the chance to tote the rock. He did get the ball once on a turnover against USC, but ended up fumbling the ball back to the Trojans, so maybe that hurt his cause.
Still, it would have been awesome to see Grant take on the short-yardage "Refrigerator Perry" role the Bears made famous back in 1985. Yet, Michigan fans will just have to be happy remembering the national titles and wins over Ohio State.
It's hard not to think about what could have been, though.
