For the second straight week, a blue-chip commitment of the Michigan football program will take a visit to another program.

Last week, it was four-star EDGE Julian Walker. The 6-foot-5 EDGE defender from South Carolina visited the in-state program, South Carolina. He was also offered by Nebraska this week, and there is talk of Walker visiting Lincoln.

We'll see if that happens or not. But there is another Michigan football commitment who is visiting elsewhere on Saturday. That's four-star cornerback Dorian Barney, who will be visiting Georgia Tech, according to a post on X from Chad Simmons of On3.com.

Out of Carrollton, Georgia, Barney is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound cornerback. He's ranked No. 221 overall in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Should Michigan football be worried about either commitment?

It's never a good sign when a recruit who is committed to your program visits another. You'd rather that not happen at all.

However, Walker and Barney are each visiting in-state programs. It's not like they are traveling across the country to visit these programs, which would be a little more concerning.

I'm not overly concerned about Barney. Michigan football has been looking at other cornerbacks, so you get the feeling the Wolverines aren't completely satisfied at the cornerback spot, but that shouldn't impact Barney's commitment.

If Walker visits Nebraska, especially during the Michigan game, which seems to be the aim, that would be concerning. Yet, I wouldn't put either in the category of flipping anytime soon, although with Walker at least, it seems there is some work to do.
