3. A transfer quarterback wouldn't have made much difference

From Cam Ward to Kurtis Rourke, some transfer quarterbacks are shining in their new homes. How much different would Michigan's record be with either one of these guys at the helm right now? The maize and blue had their choice of a transfer or to stick with what they got and boy has that decision backfired on them.

To spitball for a minute, what if Dillon Gabriel or even Dante Moore would have chosen Michigan football instead of say Oregon? They certainly wouldn't be 4-3 at this moment in the season. That makes this an overreaction because it would have made a wide margin of a difference. Ward, Gabriel, and Will Howard are all alive in the Heisman discussion. With any of these guys at Michigan, there would be no crisis at quarterback.

The previous and current regime seemingly refused to discount the most important position in sports. That's grounds for dismissal in most situations. The controversial Dave Portnoy is attempting to be the saving grace by buying a quarterback with his money. Those who believe in patience know this is not an overnight fix.
