3. Michigan basketball covered the spread

The betting line was 2.5 and thanks to Vlad Goldin's two makes at the charity stripe, the Wolverines made people some money on Thursday. That's a replay that should certainly be featured on Scott Van Pelt's bad beats. UCSD was one of the favorites to pull off the 12-5 upset, but it ended up being McNeese State over Clemson.

On Saturday Texas A&M is a slight favorite. They are 3-1 against the Big Ten this year. Their biggest win of the season came two weeks ago when they snatched a win over the number one overall seed, who both are trying to advance to play in the next round, assuming Creighton doesn't play spoiler. Seth Davis and Jay Wright like Michigan basketball to win, although it should be a lot tighter then the last time these two met in the tournament.

The Wolverines will have the size advantage again if they decide to utilize it this time. However the Aggies are ranked in the top 10 for rebounding. Buzz Williams has never got Texas A&M to the sweet 16 before. His Aggies beat Nebraska in last year's opening round, but bowed out in an overtime loss to Houston two days later.
