3. Extend Dusty May

The case to give May an extension couldn't be more appropriate right now. He's coming off a win at his alma mater and Tuesday's win was the exclamation point. The man pieced together a lineup that went from last place in the Big Ten to the top of the standings within a calendar year. As he stated in the press conference there is more work to do and you don't win the Big Ten in February.

If May wins the championship it would solidify his status as coach of the year and be a story for the ages in Ann Arbor. Coaches with his similar background are running the sport right now. Nate Oats has Alabama in the championship mix, while T.J. Otzelberger, Grant McCasland and Todd Golden have all walked that same path and are not far behind.

This weekend we will learn if May has the maize and blue within the top 16 of the preliminary seedings one month before the bracket is revealed. With this win you would have to think that the Wolverines are going to be considered for one of those coveted spots. With seven games remaining, Michigan can realistically climb to as high as a two or three seed if it can somehow keep winning.
