Kyle Whittingham has been a recruiting machine in Ann Arbor, recently adding his 16th recruit to the Class of 2027 with the commitment of 4-star cornerback Blake Jenkins. This comes before a recruiting weekend where Whititngham will host six recruits, half of which has already made their commitment to Michigan.
That leaves three uncommitted recruits heading to Ann Arbor this weekend, and Whittingham hopes they don't leave that way. One of the biggest targets for Whittingham this upcoming weekend is four-star interior offensive lineman Lincoln Mageo, who is also high up on the list for Utah, Whittingham's former school.
Reports say that Mageo is leaning toward Michigan, as does Rivals Prediction Machine, giving the Wolverines an 83% chance to land the California native. While Whittingham and his coaching staff will be putting in the work to land Mageo's commitment, they aren't the only ones pushing for his commitment.
Michigan commit and fellow offensive lineman, Sidney Rouleau, a four-star recruit, is already making plans to help recruit Mageo when both are in Ann Arbor this weekend.

Jim Harding has received some help in the recruitment of Lincoln Mageo
Utah has watched Michigan take so much from them: their head coach, multiple assistant coaches, players, and, to top it all off, recruits that were once high on the Utes. Mageo could be the next recruit in a long line of Utah targets to pick the Wolverines, and offensive line coach Jim Harding is perfectly okay with that.
Harding hasn't been working alone, as it is clear Rouleau is also jumping into the mix, and being face-to-face with Mageo can only help. Not only is it key for Michigan to land top recruits, especially in this first offseason with Whittingham at the helm, but having the help of already committed players shows their willingness to build this program with the coaching staff.
Even before this visit, Mageo is predicted to land with Michigan. Still, Rouleau could be the one to close the deal, even though a commitment isn't expected till July 11, after his official visits with Utah, Washington, and Arizona.
Whittingham is clearly creating a culture that players want to be a part of, and seeing this team up already amongst his recruits has to get Michigan fans excited for the future. With a smaller group of recruits coming in this weekend, hopefully Mageo gets the feel of what being at Michigan will truly look like, and maybe that commitment date could come sooner than everyone thinks.
