Two days after Sherrone Moore was fired by Michigan and detained by police, one day after he was booked, and just hours after he was arraigned, everyone finally learned what the former head coach's old boss had to say on the matter.

Jim Harbaugh, who led the Michigan Wolverines to their 2023 National Championship, was the head coach over Moore when he was still just the team's offensive coordinator (and interim HC at times).

"Still processing that," Harbaugh said when asked about the situation in Ann Arbor. "Still processing that like a lot of people, I'm sure."

Jim Harbaugh learned about Sherrone Moore from an "equipment guy"

Harbaugh shared that one of the Los Angeles Chargers' (his current team) equipment staff members was actually who told him the news of Moore getting fired by the Wolverines.

So, just a few years after Harbaugh escaped Michigan's last scandal, regarding sign-stealing, his old assistant is under fire for yet another scandal tied to the program.

No, Harbaugh didn't say anything substantial on the matter. As anybody who was ever close to Moore would, he probably didn't know what to say or how to feel when he first heard the news, much less when he learned the full gravity of the situation.

Harbaugh hired Moore in 2018, originally bringing him onto his staff as the team's tight ends coach before promoting him to co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach in 2021.

In 2023, Moore was named the OC and OL coach, stepping into the interim head coaching role as Harbaugh served a suspension. Ahead of the 2024 season, when Harbaugh took the job with the Chargers, Moore was named the team's official head coach.

Now, once again, the Wolverines are on the hunt for their next head coach after firing Moore for his inappropriate relationship with a staffer.
