Sherrone Moore is usually the guy who teases commitment news for Michigan football, but on Tuesday, Hayes Fawcett stepped into that role.

Fawcett is a recruiting insider for On3.com. He's maybe best known for some of the edits that he creates for recruits as they announce their decisions. However, that's given him inside info as he usually knows about commitments ahead of time, since he needs to in order to make the edit.

And just recently (on Tuesday) Fawcett posted a tweet with a Michigan flag. He also said he would post a link "when it happens."

That sure sounds like a commitment to me -- one that is likely going to pop soon.

So who is it?

Guessing next Michigan football commitment?

There are three candidates. One of them is four-star wide receiver Travis Johnson. He's been trending with expert projections to land with the Wolverines.

Johnson did set a commitment date for early next month (July 4th), but it wouldn't be the first time a recruit moved up an announcement.

Andre Clarke, a 6-foot-1, defensive back ranked No. 177 overall, has also been projected to Michigan football. He set a commitment date, too (June 30th).

It may be one of those players, and they moved up their decision. However, EJ Holland of The Wolverine put in a projection for Michigan football to pull off a flip.

Three-star linebacker Markel Dabney, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound linebacker out of Richmond, Virginia, is committed to SMU. However, the No. 785 overall recruit in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, visited Michigan football for the second time in less than a week. He was also on campus for an official visit over the weekend.

Dabney has been projected to flip by EJ Holland of The Wolverine. It feels like that's the commitment being teased by Fawcett. Who knows, but as it stands, it feels like all three will be Michigan football commitments before long.
