Kyle Whittingham continues to bring the best of his talent from Utah to Ann Arbor as he works to transform the Michigan Wolverines into his own team.
When four-star cornerback Smith Snowden, who spent three seasons with Whittingham and the Utes, announced his commitment to the Wolverines, he shared a perfect reason about why it was always going to be Michigan.
"It’s Michigan. It’s The Big House," Snowden said. "Having an opportunity to play for Michigan, it was a no-brainer for me."
Smith Snowden was always coming to Michigan
Of course, Snowden entered the transfer portal as soon as it opened on Jan. 2, which was about a week after Whittingham had been named as Michigan's new head coach. So, at the end of the day, he was likely following his head coach to a new team.
Yet, it took 11 days for Snowden to commit to the Wolverines, taking his time to ensure that Michigan was actually the right program for him.
However, he put it perfectly. How could someone pass up on playing for the Michigan Wolverines?

Snowden isn't the only former Ute who has transferred to Michigan, as one of four former Utah players who have followed their head coach to Ann Arbor.
Four-star edge rusher John Henry Daley, three-star edge rusher Jonah Lea'ea, and three-star wide receiver JJ Buchanan have also committed to the Wolverines.
So far, Whittingham has landed 16 commitments from the transfer portal, greatly making up for the 27 departures that Michigan suffered once the portal opened at the beginning of the month.
Currently, the Wolverines' transfer portal class ranks 68th in the country and 18th in the Big Ten (yes, last place in the conference standings). However, as Whittingham continues to attract more talent, Michigan will undeniably climb those rankings.
