Dusty May's postgame Michigan speech made the win over Ohio State even better

It's hard to top a 21-point victory over a rival but Michigan head coach Dusty May possibly did it after the Wolverines demolished the Ohio State Buckeyes.

What a performance by the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines. Even with a 10-point lead over their rivals, the Ohio State Buckeyes, at halftime, the Wolverines refused to take their foot off the gas, and it resulted in an absolutely dominant win over OSU.

By the end of regulation, Michigan had more than doubled its lead and headed home with an 82-61 win over Ohio State. Afterward, head coach Dusty May made the victory even better with his postgame speech.

"People were questioning our discipline and maturity, and there were probably ten times, us coaches talk during the game, we sat there and said. 'God, man, we have a disciplined group,'" May said. "We have a group that is maturing in front of us."

Michigan silences all doubt with win against Ohio State

"Feel good about your teammates' success, feel good about us doing this together," May continued. "It's February, guys. If this s— is still fun and we still love competing with each other, then we can take another step and we have another gear in us."

At the end of his speech, to put a cherry on top of it all, May joked around that they needed to get out of Columbus as quickly as they possibly could. Of course, every Wolverine in the room cheered at that idea.

May was right, with a few close calls on Michigan's resume, a few experts were questioning if the Wolverines actually had in validity as a top team heading into March. Well, another 20-point win over a Power Conference team sure seemed to silence any of those doubters.

The 21-point win over Ohio State was the Wolverines' 12th victory by 20 or more points so far this season, including a 41-point win over Penn State just a few days earlier, a 30-point win over then-No. 21 Auburn at the beginning of the season, and a 40-point win over then0No. 12 Gonzaga right after that.

Even with the shocking 17-point loss to the Wisconsin Badgers, nobody is winning like the Wolverines are, not even the No. 1 Arizona Wildcats.

May is clearly itching to turn his attention to March as his team continues to build one of their most dominant season ever, and with just seven regular-season games remaining, it's almost time.

Up next, Michigan will visit the Northwestern Wildcats, and the Wolverines have four ranked matchups after that. Then, it's time for the Big Ten Tournament and the subsequent NCAA Tournament as May and his team look to make a run to the National Championship.
