It's Gameday, Michigan football fans. The Wolverines will take on New Mexico tonight in the first game of the season.
The Mountain West opponent with a new head coach and 79 new players is a 34.5-point underdog. So Michigan shouldn't have too much trouble with the Lobos in the debut of starting quarterback Bryce Underwood.
Underwood will be the first freshman starting quarterback for the Wolverines since Tate Forcier back in 2009. Hopefully, his campaign goes more like Chad Henne's, who led U-M to a Big Ten title and a berth in the Rose Bowl.
However, with Michigan not playing until tonight, fans can turn their attention to Fox Big Noon Kickoff and the spectacle that is Dave Portnoy.
Portnoy was "banned" from going into the stadium during the pre-game broadcast of the game between Ohio State and Texas. It was reported that Ohio State didn't want Portnoy on the field. Fox covered for Ohio State and said Portnoy won't be on the field in any stadium, but it seems fishy.

Either way, Portnoy was ready to troll the Buckeyes on Saturday morning and showed up wearing a T-shirt that reads, "Still can't beat Michigan."
It will be interesting to see what Portnoy says about the whole thing on the air.
Speaking of college football pre-game shows, Michigan football will also be featured on ESPN's College Gameday next week as the Wolverines will travel to Norman, Oklahoma, to take on the Sooners.
Sherrone Moore will take on his alma mater. It will be a primetime game, and a chance for the Wolverines to shine with the spotlight on them.
