You didn't even have to watch the National Championship itself to know if the Michigan Wolverines had a comfortable lead or were playing well against the UConn Huskies.
Instead, you could have just kept with Dave Portnoy's X feed, the Barstool Sports founder and Michigan super fan, which featured him posting video after video of his own reactions to the matchup.
From complaining that the UConn wouldn't die as the Huskies seemed to defy the odds and kept the Wolverines within reach, to celebrating whenever Yaxel Lendeborg actually had a good play while pushing through injuries, Portnoy was as reliable as the live broadcast itself.
However, with more than a minute left on the clock, Portnoy posted "NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!!!!" assuming that the Wolverines had clinched it with their seven-point lead.

Right after Portnoy pressed post, UConn's Solo Ball banked a three-point shot to bring the Huskies within four points, and fear surged through Michigan fans as, suddenly, the game was very much up in the air.
Even Portnoy had to admit that the Huskies were back within reach, sharing "UCONN WONT DIE," for a second time that night.

Once the Wolverines actually solidified themselves as National Champions, the Barstool Sports founder was nothing but celebratory.
Dave Portnoy gets dig in at Michigan State after natty win
From calling a few of his Barstool employees to brag about Michigan's title to immediately posting his company's merch for the Wolverines' win, Portnoy was just as excited as he was a few years ago when the football team secured its national title.
Of course, no matter what Portnoy had posted, the game ended exactly how head coach Dusty May had hoped: a win for the Michigan Wolverines and a National Championship trophy in his hand.
One of the merchandise items Portnoy and Barstool Sports released was a graphic tee of May stepping over rival Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo, referring to the Spartans as "Little Brother."

The Wolverines defeated the Huskies 69-63 to secure their first National Championship since 1989, the first for the state of Michigan since 2000, when none other than the Michigan State Spartans won it all.
