Now that he's in Ann Arbor, 5-star Michigan Wolverines signee Bryce Underwood has wasted no time impressing during spring ball. Local fans are still pretty fired up over his spring practice debut, with Underwood showcasing the kind of arm he's got.
Off the field, Underwood is also looking to help head coach Sherrone Moore out on the recruiting trail. Last week, 5-star standout Jackson Cantwell was on campus for his unofficial visit. While in town, Cantwell connected with Underwood and he was clearly excited to repost a pic of the two on social media. This just goes to show the kind of impact Underwood can have on the program:

5-star OT Jackson Cantwell met up with Bryce Underwood during his recent visit
That's quite the photo. Underwood was the nation's No. 1 QB and No. 1 overall prospect for the 2025 class. He flipped from LSU to Michigan and it was no question one of the biggest recruiting wins of the past decade overall. Now, the Wolverines are hoping to make magic happen once again.
Cantwell is also the No. 1 prospect for the 2026 class, with every powerhouse in the country looking to land his services. He's down to Michigan, Missouri, Ohio State, Miami, Oregon and Georgia - yup, there's some serious competition to land his services.
Cantwell taking a spring visit to Michigan is big, however, and he'll be back on campus later this year once again. The elite OT has an official visit with the Wolverines locked in for June 13. That trip could play a massive role in him joining the Big Ten side or not.
As we get closer to the summer, we'll have more of an idea of where Cantwell will be suiting up at the next level. For now, things are pretty even among all the schools still left in contention. With that said, it's an added bonus that Underwood is working to get him to commit as well.
