Every team is dealing with injuries this time of year. However, it feels like Michigan football is dealing with more than most.

Star running back Justice Haynes has been out since the Michigan State game. Jordan Marshall and Max Bredeson are some others who have been dealing with injuries, among many other starters.

Most of the guys will be back this week. We don't know about Bredeson. Sherrone Moore made it seem like there was a chance on Monday.

Moore also ruled out the possible return of Rod Moore, who hasn't played since the USC game. Moore only played in three games this season. The Michigan football head coach indicated that the senior was out for the season.

Rod Moore won't return for Michigan football vs. Ohio State

There was hope that Moore would be able to return for the Ohio State game. Even in his limited action, the former All-Big Ten standout made a difference. Against Wisconsin, Moore came away with an interception, a pass breakup, and a key tackle on a reverse that could have gone the distance.

That's why it would have been great if Moore had been able to get healthy, at least enough to return for "The Game." However, he re-aggravated something against USC and hasn't seen the field since.

Moore could probably apply for a medical redshirt and try to play next season. Or, Moore could enter the NFL draft. If he can get healthy, run a good time in the 40, and do all that stuff, he should at least get signed as a rookie free agent. It's hard to say if he would get drafted after playing just three games in two seasons.

Whatever happens, Rod Moore will always be a Michigan football legend and a national champion.
