Michigan football has one final game on the schedule before Ohio State next week, and the status of running back Jordan Marshall is up in the air.

The Wolverines have already suffered one major injury at the running back position. Justice Haynes hasn't played since the Michigan State game, and according to what Gus Johnson said, he won't be back this season, at least during the regular season.

There is some concern about Marshall, too. He suffered a shoulder injury against Northwestern last week. Sherrone Moore said the X-rays were negative, and that Marshall would be "good to go" for Ohio State, but Moore didn't clarify what that would mean for Maryland.

According to Chris Balas of The Wolverine, Marshall will travel with the team but isn't expected to play. It sounds like he will be dressed out, so maybe the Wolverines start things with Bryson Kuzdal and bring on Marshall if they absolutely need to.

It's understandable to hold him out for the Ohio State, but from a College Football Playoff perspective, the game next week won't mean anything if the Wolverines don't take care of business as a 14-point favorite in Maryland.

Michigan has won eight consecutive games in the series. The last loss came back in 2014 when Brady Hoke was still the head coach, so Michigan football should be able to survive without Marshall, but as the past few weeks have shown, it might not be easy.
