In terms of recruiting, Michigan football fans are mostly focused on the 2026 class, and for good reason, as we are in the heart of official visit season.
However, that doesn't mean the Wolverines aren't putting in work on the 2027 class, as well as other future classes.
Elite Top 100 in-state WR Dakota Guerrant will return to Michigan next week.

Also, sibling legacy EDGE Jaxon Holly absolutely raved about his recent trip to Ann Arbor.

One recruit in the 2027 class that is a must-land for Michigan football is Dakota Guerrant, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound wide receiver out of Harper Woods. The five-star ranked No. 21 overall in the 2027 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
Michigan football was the first to offer Guerrant, although just about every major program has offered the dynamic wideout now including Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, Alabama, Texas A&M, USC, Miami, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and recently, LSU.
That's all the heavy hitters of college football recruiting outside of Georgia. Surely, the offer list will expand, but the Wolverines are in a good spot and will get the five-star wideout on campus next week, according to Ethan McDowell of The Wolverine.
Michigan football projected to land 2027 recruit as a significant offer
Not all offers are the same. One this week for Michigan football was notable as the Wolverines offered the son of defensive line coach Lou Esposito, Louis Esposito.
Lou, the Michigan D-line coach, has already landed two blue-chip prospects on the defensive line this week, including a dude many are comparing to Mason Graham, but this has to take the cake.
This isn't just a courtesy offer either. Esposito, the recruit, is a 6-foot-5, 260-pound three-star (via 247 Sports) from Saline, Michigan. He was offered by Michigan football earlier this week and has already been projected to the Wolverines by McDowell, with an On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine projection.
A commitment isn't expected anytime soon, but this one does feel like a slam dunk.
