It was fun to watch Michigan football double up New Mexico last week, but it feels like the 2025 season starts for real on Saturday night against Oklahoma.

The two teams will meet in a top-20 matchup. Michigan football is ranked 15th. Oklahoma is ranked 18th, and College Gameday will be in Norman to celebrate the Big Ten/SEC showdown.

For the Wolverines, it's the chance to prove they are a playoff contender. Yet, it's the same thing for the Sooners who are looking to take a dramatic step forward after a six-win season in 2024.

Bryce Underwood has Michigan football fans dreaming big. The analysts were drooling over his performance last week, while John Mateer of the Sooners threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns in his Oklahoma debut.

The Sooners are a 4.5-point favorite according to Vegas oddsmakers, and here are five bold predictions for the Wolverines and Sooners on Saturday night (ABC, 7:30 EST).

Bryce Underwood has more total yards than Week 1

Bryce Underwood was so good last week that he even convinced some of his skeptics. Hell, even Ohio State fans were admitting on social media that he was as good as advertised.

What's really exciting is that Underwood has even more to offer. The 6-foot-4, 228-pounder showed he can be a successful blocker, but he's also a dynamic runner. He didn't have to use his legs, outside of moving around in the pocket.

That doesn't seem plausible this week. Underwood wil have to run this week, both in designed situations, and a times when it's not planned. That's something that drives defenses crazy.

So Underwood maybe won't throw for 251 yards this week, but with his rushing and passing yards combined, he will exceed that total.
