The biggest recruiting weekend for Michigan is yet to come, but head coach Kyle Whittingham has still been putting in the work, welcoming smaller groups of recruits before Victor Weekend. This past weekend, the Wolverines hosted a handful of recruits, including five-star cornerback Joshua Dobson and 4-star EDGE Ifeanyi Emedobi, both priority targets for Whittingham.

While a lot of attention was on Dobson, Emedobi was another recruit the Wolverines made sure to make feel special, and they accomplished just that. Emedobi had official visits at Penn State and Minnesota before heading to Ann Arbor, and something clearly clicked with the Wolverines.

"Michigan is definitely a proven program where I can see myself at," Emedobi said.

Clearly, Emedobi can envision himself wearing the Maize and Blue and playing in the Big House on Saturdays in the fall after his visits. He envisioned so much that he now has a commitment date set.

Not long after his trip to Ann Arbor, actually, less than 24 hours after his trip, Emedobi announced he set his commitment date for Wednesday, June 17. This will come just days before his trip to Michigan, and it has him choosing Michigan written all over it.

Emedobi was not shy about sharing glimpses of his weekend, even posting a picture of himself with the entire defensive coaching staff on the field in the Big House. Before his visit, Emebodi was already projected to land at Michigan by both the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine and 247Sports Crystal Ball, and now it feels like the obvious choice is the Wolverines.

Whittingham and his staff pulled out all the stops for Emedobi this weekend, making him feel at home in Ann Arbor. Originally, the Indiana native was set to have a visit with the Hoosiers this weekend, but cancelled it in favor of a visit to Michigan, another good sign of a commitment coming.

Emedobi isn't the highest-ranked recruit that Michigan would be landing, ranked No. 403 nationally according to 247Sports Composite rankings, but is the No. 36 edge rusher in the class. If Michigan does win this commitment from Emedobi, the Wolverines are beating out Big Ten foes Penn State and Minnesota, which is always a win in the eyes of Wolverines fans.

Speaking of Michigan fans, they will love to hear Emedobi's quote about feeling at home with Michigan, and him already envisioning himself playing for this team. While Emedobi may not be the typical size of an edge rusher, coming in at 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, Michigan's defense has always found success on the defensive line, and Emedobi could be its next star.
