With two losses already Michigan football has no more room for errors. The Wolverines retake the field this weekend in hopes of finding something positive that will start a new conference winning streak.

Illinois is better than everyone expected and just a few possessions away from being undefeated. The loser will all but be eliminated from the Big Ten race, while the winner survives for another week in the logjam at the top of the conference.

Here's three things that I would like to see happen at Memorial stadium.

1. Some Jeffrey Persi at right tackle

Sherrone Moore talked about this during his Monday press conference. Persi could lock down the job with a dependable performance on Saturday. Persi was called for a false start in the Washington loss, but might have done enough to impress the coaches to get the nod over Evan Link at right tackle moving forward.

As for center, Greg Crippen graded the highest on the offensive line by pro football focus. He may be the starting center from now on. Myles Hinton is also expected back on Saturday and we'll see how the rest of the line plays out.

It's hard to fathom why Michigan's line is even being considered for the Joe Moore award halfway through the season with all these shakeups. The pass protection, especially on the right side has been suspect at best.
