As Kyle Whittingham makes himself at home in Ann Arbor, he has continued to garner the respect and trust of those around him.
Alongside his staff and players, Whittingham has received the nod of approval from a few people who he would love to have join him at Michigan, including four-star safety and Michigan recruiting Target Myles Baker.
"Watching Utah play, you can tell they are disciplined, and with all that’s happened to the Michigan football program, stability is needed," Baker told Rivals' Adam Gorney.
Kyle Whittingham is catching eyes of recruits
Baker, a blue-chip prospect out of California, is the target of many Big Ten programs, including UCLA, USC, Oregon, and, of course, the Wolverines. His praising of Whittingham and his former team, the Utah Utes, is exactly what the Wolverines need.
So far, Michigan's recruiting class of 2027 has just four commitments in it, including four-star quarterback and four-star EDGE Recarder Kitchen.
Whittingham is going to have to prove his worth as the leader of a perennial program in order to land more blue-chip prospects, including Baker's possible commitment.

Michigan is coming off a top-15 recruiting class, which has stayed together relatively well despite the Sherrone Moore saga unfolding. Whittingham's goal should be to one-up that group of recruits, at the very least.
While Whittingham only landed the No. 42 class of 2025 at Utah, his recruiting resources have suddenly blossomed since taking over at Michigan. The Wolverines' resources and history give him a massive advantage on the recruiting scene, and he should take advantage of that in the coming weeks and months.
