Another interception

Not only is Michigan football leading college football in scoring defense, but the Wolverines have also been stellar at taking the ball away.

That’s especially true of interceptions. Michigan leads the Big Ten conference with 16. Eight different players have interceptions for the Wolverines. Four players have at least two, led by Mike Sairistil with five.

Will Johnson, who is questionable for the Big Ten championship game, has three, while Rod Moore and Keon Sabb both have two. Iowa has thrown just nine interceptions as an offense compared to nine touchdown passes.

But I don’t see the Hawkeyes finding balance against Michigan. LeShon Williams did rush for 111 yards against a stout Nebraska defense, but Nebraska isn’t Michigan. The pass rush will bother Deacon Hill and U-M will make him pay for at least one miskake.

Michigan football vs. Iowa prediction

The Wolverines are the better team. They will also have a head coach and by far the best quarterback Iowa has seen this season.

This Michigan football team is also on a mission and the Wolverines aren’t going to overlook anyone.
