With everything stacked against Michigan football, here are five things we learned from a massive win for the Wolverines over Penn State.

Bet.

As soon as we saw that word started to spread across social media after the suspension of Jim Harbaugh after he got on the plane on Friday, we should have known what the result was going to be between Michigan football and Penn State.

Almost like it was pre-determined. It wasn’t of course. That’s just what happens when you have the better players and the better team.

it must have been a hard day for Jim Harbaugh. I can only imagine what it must feel like to watch your team play a playoff game without you.

He told them to play for themselves, play for the team, and to play for Michigan. He also told quarterback J.J. McCarthy, “I love you so much. Go be you.”

Frankly, I don’t understand how people can think Jim Harbaugh is some villain. What his Michigan football team did on Saturday was spectacular — beating a top-10 team without Harbaugh.

Here are five things we learned in the 24-15 win by Michigan football.

Jim Harbaugh is an incredible leader

Sherrone Moore said it all after the game. If you doubt the leadership ability of Jim Harbaugh just look at how his team handled one of the most adverse situations in college football history.

Moore’s emotional speech wasn’t a sign of weakness. It was love and leadership. There’s a reason why these guys would run through a wall for him, which they essentially did on Saturday.

Michigan was facing the No. 2 run defense in the country. The Nittany Lions allowed just two yards per carry coming in, and Michigan football ran for 227 yards, averaged 4.7 yards per attempt, and didn’t even throw in the second half.

It was all about surviving the move by the Big Ten to shift the competitive balance against Michigan, which was incredibly unfair to players.

Everyone is united behind Jim Harbaugh and my expectation is that his contract gets done soon. I don’t think he’s going anywhere.
