Michigan fooball gets back to football this week as the Wolverines wil host Purdue on Saturday night. Here are five things to watch.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m sick of talking about the Michigan football sign-stealing investigation.

The latest revelation about Connor Stalions possibly using a disguise to scout a Michigan State is flat-out crazy. It also lends credence to the idea that he’s a lone wolf. If you really believe Jim Harbaugh authorized that, you’re off your rocker.

It looks like Michigan has recognized that too. A report from Chris Balas of The Wolverine indicated that a contract extension could come “very soon” that would make Harbaugh the highest-paid coach in the Big Ten.

Some have described it as a middle finger to the NCAA. But honestly, the NCAA needs to cease to exist, especially since it’s taken information gathered by rivals and starting investigations.

That’s wild to me and I’m just glad Michigan football gets back to playing football this week, as Purdue comes to the Big House Saturday night.

Here are five things to watch.

Can the Wolverines stay focused on the field?

Michigan football did a great job of blocking out the noise for the Michigan State game. Yet, during the bye week, things really crazy. There has been a revelation seemingly each day about the investigation and the leaks have shifted the PR war against Michigan.

That was the whole point of biased leaks. It’s not like we are getting the whole picture. That’s why it’s such a sham. Still, it wil be up to Michigan football players and coaches to block out the noise and control what they can control.
