Bennett Warren

The next big commitment, Michigan will look to earn its sixth offensive line commitment this cycle with Bennett Warren. Warren is ranked as the #82 player in the nation, and would be a tremendous steal out of the state of Texas.

Warren has visited Michigan football multiple times and has loved every second of his visits, but he appears to be very susceptible to recency bias. He’s changed his leader numerous times, and honestly this one feels like whoever gets him on campus last will earn his commitment.

Unfortunately for Michigan, Tennessee had him on campus for the last weekend of June, and as of right now it doesn’t appear that Warren will attend the BBQ at the Big House. While Michigan held the lead for a long time, I think Warren will commit to Tennessee on July 31st.

The Volunteers offer a chance to play earlier than at Michigan, and are also very involved with NIL. With that said, this one isn’t going to end on the 31st. This is one that’s going to go until national signing day. If Michigan can convince Warren to come back for a game, I think they’ll land him.

At this point, it’s about how badly Michigan wants him. Spots in the class are becoming extremely thin, and Michigan still needs lots of help in the secondary. If Michigan puts the full court press on Warren, I think they’ll land him come signing day.

For now, however, the pick is Tennessee.

Prediction: Tennessee
