4-Star OL Michael Uini

Well, this is one I didn’t necessarily expect. Michael Uini announced that he will be committing on June 30th. That bodes very well for Michigan football.

There was tons of momentum for Uini following his official visit to Michigan, but he did visit both Alabama and Georgia after visiting Michigan.

The final three consist of those three schools. Michigan, Alabama, and Georgia. Michigan still holds all of the predictions for Uini, and has a 94.5% chance of securing his services according to ON3.

Uini would be an excellent win for the Wolverines, and would likely finalize the offensive line haul at six commits. At 6’7, 325 lbs, Uini has the physical capability to be a first-round pick. He is ranked as the #127 player in the nation per the 247Sports composite rankings.

Sherrone Moore did an amazing job in this recruitment, and really in the recruitment of every offensive lineman. If someone told me two years ago that Michigan would be the favorite in the recruitment of a top offensive lineman against Alabama and Georgia, I would’ve called them crazy. This would be a huge win.

Conclusion

The Wolverines look poised to add at least one more commitment to their class within the next week. Following these announcements, things will likely slow down. Obviously, all eyes will be on Aaron Scott over the coming weeks, as fans anxiously await an announcement.

Jordan Shipp will announce his commitment on July 16th, but it’s too early to choose a winner in that one. Michigan football has put itself in a phenomenal position as June wraps up.
