3-star DL Deyvid Palepale

Don’t let the star ranking trick you – Palepale is an extremely talented player. The Wolverines have been trending for the past month or so, and have a crystal ball in their favor.

This has long been thought to be a two-horse race between Michigan football and Penn State for the Pennsylvania native.

The Nittany Lions got an official visit last week, so Michigan will have an excellent chance to close on Palepale during his visit. The staff has pitched Palepale as being similar to current Michigan star Kris Jenkins. They think Palepale is a better recruit than Jenkins was, and are extremely excited about his potential.

Defensive line coach Mike Elston has been incredible on the recruiting trail since joining the staff. I expect him to put the full-court press on Palepale, and it’s definitely possible that he could commit on the spot. I like the Wolverines in this one.
