Michigan Football recruiting: Top defensive targets trending to Wolverines

4-star LB Aaron Chiles

Aaron Chiles. A fellow Good Counsel player, Chiles has been trending to the Wolverines for months. Some, including myself, had hoped that Chiles would be committed by now. However, there is hope that he will be committed following his official visit.

Chiles is slated to visit at the same time as Mayo, on the weekend of June 23rd. Michigan football is in the top 3 for Chiles, along with Maryland and Florida. The Wolverines will get the final official visit for Chiles, who has said that he will commit either shortly after his official visits or on one of his official visits.

There is no reason to think that his decision will be anywhere but Michigan, especially given how amazing the Wolverines have been at wowing recruits on visits. I’d be looking out for a joint commitment between Chiles and Mayo.

Ranked as the #73 player in the country, Chiles is another elite recruit that the Wolverines are looking to add. The #6 linebacker in America would be an instant impact player at Michigan and could compete for a starting spot very early in his career. Chiles has drawn comparisons to Junior Colson and is a recruit the Wolverines need to land.
