In our latest Michigan Wolverines news roundup, Michigan football gets more crystal balls in 2024, Hunter Dickinson takes aim at the U-M’s NIL, and more.

The Michigan football program has so much momentum on the recruiting trail, it’s hard to remember a time when things were going this well.

Outside the issue that popped up with Cutter Boley and Michigan football potentially looking at two quarterbacks in 2024, which it is not, all is well. The message has been that Boley will only be considered as part of the 2025 class according to what Brice Marich said on the Michigan Insider Podcast earlier this week.

However, Kirk Campbell and the coaching staff shored that up with Jadyn Davis quickly and I see no reason to worry there. Campbell even tweeted something about Charlotte and the 2024 class being on lockdown Wednesday night.

There are more positive trends for the Michigan Wolverines as Sam Webb of the Michigan Insider put in crystal ball projections for Jeremiah Beasley and Cole Sullivan.

Both of those players had already been trending with projections to Michigan football, but that just solidifies that there’s a good chance both join the class, along with top-100 linebacker Aaron Chiles who will visit next month and has U-M in his top three.

The Michigan Wolverines have a number of top-100 recruits coming to campus in early June, such as Justin Scott, Ryan Wingo, and Bryce West. Michigan football isn’t the favorite for any of those guys right now, but things could change on those visits and it could be the cherry on top of a really stellar recruiting class for Michigan football.

Hunter Dickinson takes a dig at Michigan Wolverines

We just can’t get away from the Hunter Dickinson talk. He made headlines with another appearance on the “Roundball Podcast” and expressed frustration that fans were criticizing him about leaving for more money.

He essentially said people would do the same thing if they were offered an extra 10K to work another job and he’s probably right. It’s also refreshing to hear him actually say the move was about the money because we knew all along that that’s why he chose Kansas.

Dickinson was a great player. I also think he cares as much about being a showman as he does actually winning basketball games, which we also learned over the past two seasons.

The Wolverines were defeated by Penn State on Wednesday in the opening round of the Big Ten tournament by a score of 3-2.
