David Sanders

A fellow Providence Day player, David Sanders is ranked as the #2 player in the country and is an offensive lineman. Just reading that first sentence, Michigan football should be a major player in his recruitment.

They’ve made North Carolina, specifically Providence Day, a priority, and have won back-to-back Joe Moore awards. Because of that, I think the Wolverines will have a great shot at getting Sanders to commit.

With Jadyn Davis committed and the Wolverines believed to be leading for Jordan Shipp and Channing Goodwin, Sanders could have THREE teammates committed to Michigan. Do not underestimate the impact that teammates can have on a recruitment. You can bet that Davis is already in his ear, but just imagine all three of them recruiting Sanders.

This is another recruitment that’s going to be very tough for the Wolverines to win. They do not have the benefit of being located 15 minutes away from Sanders, and every school in America is going after Sanders.

Sanders’ recruitment, like many 2025 prospects, has not really heated up yet. He’s taken multiple visits to local schools, and Clemson and South Carolina seem to have an edge in his recruitment right now just because of that.

Having five offensive line commits in the 2024 class, Sherrone Moore can begin to give more attention to 2025 prospects such as Sanders, and you can bet that he’s going to. This is a huge benefit for Michigan, as Moore is a proven recruiter.

This is going to be a tough recruitment to win. However, it is a winnable one. I see Michigan competing until the end for Sanders. This is a recruitment where Bryce Underwood could be the difference. If he commits to Michigan, I predict that Sanders commits to Michigan.
