The Wolverines are setting themselves up for an amazing 2025 recruiting class

The 2024 Michigan football recruiting class looks like it could be the best under Jim Harbaugh. It’s possible that this wouldn’t be the case for long, however. With nearly two years until completion, the 2025 class already looks like it could be a historic class for the Wolverines.

Recruits are finally seeming to take notice of Michigan’s recent success, and there is a true belief that the Wolverines can win at least one national championship over the coming years.

While the 2024 class is only halfway done, it’s never too early to look ahead to the future, especially when things are trending so positively for Michigan. There are multiple five stars that have put Michigan at the top of their list, and the Wolverines are simply on fire right now.

Without further ado, let’s look at some elite 2025 prospects that the Wolverines are trending for.

5-star QB Bryce Underwood

The number one quarterback in the nation resides in Belleville, Michigan. Underwood, who is already 6’3 210 lbs, has led Belleville to back-to-back state championships, throwing 76 touchdowns over his first two seasons.

Underwood is young for his grade and could be a 2026 prospect, which makes his talent even crazier. He looks like a generational quarterback, and landing him would make Michigan football instant contenders for the #1 class in the country in 2025.

Underwood recently took another unofficial visit to Michigan football, marking his third in the past month. What’s even better? He’s planning on returning in the near future. This has been a recruitment that has taken a complete 180 in recent months.

During the 2022 season, Underwood to Michigan football seemed very unlikely. Matt Weiss was struggling to connect with Underwood, and Belleville was not a friendly school to Michigan. Fast forward to today, and Kirk Campbell is an ace recruiter who Underwood and his family love.

Belleville also hired a new head football coach, who has been much more friendly toward the Wolverines. Fellow Belleville star Jeremiah Beasley, a 2024 four-star linebacker, has also been heavily trending toward Michigan. He was considered a heavy MSU lean just a few months ago.

As a whole, Michigan football recruiting at Belleville has done a 180, with the Wolverines now having success there.

Right now, Michigan is the team to beat for Underwood. It’s going to be tough for the Wolverines to keep him, as this will undoubtedly be a national recruitment, but the Wolverines must keep him at home.  If they do, the expectations for Underwood will be monstrous.

Underwood would be the highest-ranked QB to come to Michigan, and the expectation would be for him to be the greatest Michigan quarterback ever.

National title(s) would be expected. That’s how good he is. Words cannot describe the importance of this recruitment for Michigan football. Right now, they’re excelling. They must continue that, and if they do, the program will be set up for years.

Underwood alone would attract other elite recruits, and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that multiple five-star offensive players could follow him to Michigan. Generational talent attracts others. His commitment would arguably be the biggest of all time for the Wolverines.
