In our latest Michigan Wolverines news roundup, Michigan football gets ready for TCU in the Fiesta Bowl and an Ohio State grad will serve as an official.

Gameday has finally arrived for the Michigan Wolverines in the Fiesta Bowl against TCU. Michigan football is making its return trip to the College Football Playoff and kickoff is now hours away.

The Wolverines are a 7.5-point favorite over the Horned Frogs but it’s expected to be a tight battle. If Michigan football wins, there is a chance the Wolverines could be set with a rematch against Ohio State.

Ohio State will face Georgia in the Peach Bowl tonight, but one thing that’s interesting is that one of the officials for the Fiesta Bowl is an Ohio State graduate.

Chris Garner has been an SEC official since 2015 according to Maize and Brew. He also graduated from Ohio State in the 1990s. Obviously, he’s officiating in this game for a reason but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to be a little paranoid about it.

Just something to watch today.

Michigan Wolverines announce Fiesta Bowl uniforms

Over the past two seasons, Michigan football has gotten more creative with its uniform combinations and it’s become a week-to-week thing.

The big-game blues have been a trusted call this year. Michigan also went with its all-white combination for the Ohio State game.

But, when it comes to the Fiesta Bowl, Michigan football will don the traditional blue tops with maize bottoms against the Horned Frogs.

Former Michigan Wolverine Duncan Robinson sets records

Duncan Robinson set a couple of records this week in the NBA. First, he became the fastest player in NBA history to reach 800 made 3-pointers in his career.

Then, on Friday night, Robinson etched his name in the history of the Miami Heat as he passed Tim Hardaway as the franchise’s all-time leader in 3-point field goals.

Robinson has seen his minutes drop for the Heat but he’s still averaged 7.1 points per game in just over 18 minutes per night. He’s shooting 34.4 percent from 3-point range and averaging 1.7 made triples per game this season.
